![]() This chess project is "a demo" and I didn't pay a dollar for Unity, but I can say for sure, there isn't (and wasn't) other better platform for serious education on game development, coz it's complex and others just are kinda not for people. ![]() So, I use HttpWebRequest to other program (local webserver) which while running in background does the telnet connection. If You are more advanced, You can build DLL in C++ which controls sockets (can't use in free version). or ask google) and via networking class You get procedures "bumping" on all kinds of triggers. This means to set up Unity server solution (of your choice, fxmpl. ![]() In general, network always means sockets.
